February 6, 2014 – Based on the Board’s claim construction, the Board found that Petitioner Excelsior Medical Corporation did not establish a reasonable likelihood that it would prevail with respect to at least one of the challenged claims of the challenged patent. Therefore, the Board denied institution of an inter partes review.
August 9, 2013 – Excelsior Medical Corporation files a Petition for Inter Partes Review at the U.S. Patent Office alleging that all the claims in U.S. Patent No. 7,282,186 are unpatentable. The ‘186 patent is directed to a “Decontamination Device.”
