Irfan A. Lateef graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree, with highest honors, in Electrical Engineering. In 1996, he received his Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University specializing in cardiac electrophysiology and digital signal processing. He also worked as a consultant to Baxter Healthcare in its Biotech Division from 1995 to 1996.
Mr. Lateef received his Juris Doctorate in 1999 from the Georgetown University Law Center. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Lateef worked as a law clerk for Sixbey, Friedman, Leedom and Ferguson. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1999 and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
