Tom Pan, Ph.D.

Tom Pan, Ph.D. is a patent scientist in our San Diego office. Prior to joining the firm, Tom worked in the engineering industry developing products and manufacturing processes. With a strong interest in inventions and IP protection, he regularly performed competitive analysis for new designs and determined patentability for inventive ideas. He also drafted patent applications by applying his deep understanding of the subject matters and engineering principles. Tom’s focus is electro-mechanical products. Specifically, his expertise covers mechanical structures and systems, materials, heat transfer and fluid flow, thermodynamics, and imaging systems.
