Daniel Kiang, based in the firm’s Orange County office, represents clients in patent and trademark litigation matters, including before district courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Mr. Kiang has extensive experience representing both petitioners and patent owners in AIA post-grant proceedings, such as inter partes reviews, before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Mr. Kiang earned his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 2015, where he was a founding member of the Intellectual Property Law Association and a member of the UCLA Moot Court Honors Program. Prior to law school, Mr. Kiang earned his bachelor’s degrees in physics and applied mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Kiang has research experience at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab.
