Drummond Scientific Expands MedTech Operations with Accu-Glass Acquisition

 |

Recently, Drummond Scientific Company announced its acquisition of Accu-GlassDrummond, headquartered near Philadelphia, has more than 75 years of experience in precision manufacturing for the life sciences and medical technology industries, including the manufacture of medical technology, diagnostic, and sample collection devices. Accu-Glass is a manufacturer of high-precision glass capillaries used in medical and diagnostic applications.

Drummond expects the acquisition will expand its network of manufacturing and automation-focused businesses beyond a single-site manufacturing model. Drummond also expressed its intention to continue exploring acquisition opportunities that strengthen its platform.

Drummond’s President and CEO, Christopher Strohsahl, described this acquisition as:

“a defining moment for Drummond, both in terms of what it delivers today and what it represents for our future. Accu-Glass strengthens our foundation in glass capillaries while pointing toward something broader: expanding our investments and serving our customers more completely. This is not a finish line; it is a first step and signal of our intent to grow.”

Accu-Glass’s President, Matthew Moore, noted that “[j]oining Drummond feels like a natural progression for our team. We have spent decades refining what it takes to produce precision glass at scale. Drummond understands that work and what it demands. That is why this felt like the right home for our team, our customers, and the long-term direction of the business.”
