Andrew N. Merickel, Ph.D. is the Managing Partner of our San Francisco office. He focuses on helping clients build and leverage their patent portfolios and develop strategies to navigate the patent landscape in their technology areas. Dr. Merickel’s practice includes patent prosecution and portfolio management, licensing, due diligence, opinions and challenges to third party patents. Dr. Merickel represents clients in a wide variety of technology areas across the life sciences, biotechnology, and agriculture, including antibody technologies, diagnostics, cell therapies, plant variety protection, and food technology. Dr. Merickel also has extensive experience in integrated circuit fabrication and thin film deposition.
Dr. Merickel joined the firm in 2000 and became a partner in 2005.
