Brian Barnes is an associate in the firm’s Orange County, California office. Brian represents clients in a variety of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent litigation. Brian has represented clients in a wide range of technology areas including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, software, and information technology. Brian joined the firm in the spring of 2021.
Brian has also represented pro bono clients in a variety of immigration proceedings, including obtaining a writ of habeas corpus from a U.S. district court to secure his client’s release from immigration detention, and representing a client at a hearing before the immigration court.
Brian attended Duke University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Duke Law Journal. After law school Brian clerked for the Honorable Todd M. Hughes at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
