Jacob Peterson

Jacob Peterson is a partner in our Seattle office.  His practice includes several areas of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution and litigation, with an emphasis on medical device, electrical, and computer fields.  Examples of technologies that Mr. Peterson has worked on include:

Medical technology, including non-invasive patient monitors like pulse oximeters and acoustic respiratory monitors, as well as wound therapy products like negative-pressure wound therapy devices
Electronics technology, such as computers, signal processing, wireless power transfer systems, and display devices
Semiconductor technology, such as solar cells, photodetectors, MEMS, and chip packaging
Software and information technology, including mobile applications, calibration algorithms, data storage, and web services
Communications technology, including wireless devices and networks, as well as software and communication protocols

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Peterson worked for Industrial Automation Engineering as an engineer intern, designing and modifying factory control systems.  Additionally, he worked as an accounting intern for KPMG in their federal tax practice.

Mr. Peterson was a summer associate with the firm in 2010, joined the firm as an associate in 2011, and became a partner in 2018.
