Mitchell B. Hadley

With over a decade of experience, Mitchell Hadley is a trusted advisor for clients seeking to build, manage, and enforce their intellectual property portfolios across various technical fields. Specializing in patents, Mitch’s practice encompasses global patent portfolio development, IP due diligence, patentability and infringement analysis including legal opinions, as well as pre-litigation enforcement strategy.

Mitch’s passion lies in immersing himself in the nitty-gritty of his clients’ products and businesses, from medical and industrial robotics to medical devices, mechanical technologies, and consumer products. This allows him to craft tailored strategies that address both immediate needs and long-term goals, whether it involves leveraging intellectual property for investment, protecting technical features, or managing legal risk.

While Mitch has worked with clients of all sizes, ranging from solo inventors to Fortune 500 companies, he has a special affinity for startups. Understanding the unique challenges startups face, Mitch develops strategies that position these companies for success from the outset by developing intellectual property portfolios that properly protect their core technologies and aid them in securing investment.

Originally based in California, Mitch relocated to New York when Knobbe Martens expanded its presence to New York City in 2017. He serves clients across the United States and internationally, providing exceptional service while also enjoying mentoring new attorneys in New York.
