Nicholas Belair

Nick Belair is a litigation associate based in our San Francisco office.

Mr. Belair represents clients in district courts throughout the country, as well as before the PTAB and TTAB.  Mr. Belair’s practice focuses primarily on patent litigation, and his cases have involved a wide range of technology areas and products, including non-invasive patient monitoring devices, dual-band cellular signal boosters, prosthetic knees, intravascular implants and delivery devices, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and injection devices. Mr. Belair has considerable experience representing clients in post-grant proceedings before the USPTO, including drafting and responding to petitions for inter partes review (IPR) and post-grant review (PGR). Mr. Belair also has successfully represented clients in trademark, trade dress, trade secret, breach of contract and other business tort cases in California state courts, federal district courts, and in arbitration proceedings.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Belair graduated magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law, where he was Executive Editor of the Journal of Science and Technology Law. Before attending law school, Mr. Belair worked as an R&D Engineer and Quality Engineer at EV3 Neurovascular, where he helped design and develop microcatheter-based devices for the treatment and prevention of stroke.
