Ryan M. Newell

Ryan Newell is an associate in the firm’s New York office. His practice includes IP strategy, patent portfolio management, patent prosecution, IP due diligence, and PTAB IPR proceedings. Ryan primarily represents clients in the fields of medical devices, healthcare and biotechnology.

Ryan graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and a concentration in biomaterials. As an undergraduate, he collaborated with surgeons, medical students, and biomedical engineers to design, build, and operate a testing platform for novel ACL repair techniques.

Ryan received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he served as President of the Intellectual Property Law Society. He also worked with an advanced materials startup, organizing and advancing their patent portfolio.

Ryan worked as a summer associate in 2022 and joined the firm in 2023.
