Sabrina Wang

Sabrina (Xiaoyan) Wang is a partner in our Orange County office.

Sabrina’s practice involves all types of intellectual property issues, including patents, trade secrets, copyright, and trademarks. She is experienced in patent prosecution, IP due diligence, and IP litigation. Sabrina has represented clients based in the United States and internationally and provides counseling of IP strategy in US, WIPO (PCT), Europe, Japan, Australia, and many other countries.

Sabrina’s practice involves a wide variety of technology, with a focus on medical devices and MedTech. She has extensive experience drafting patent applications and advising clients on IP protection strategy for various aspects of MedTech, including implants/surgery, prosthetics, robotics, respiratory devices, patient monitoring systems, wearable technology, sensors, and signal processing. Her practice further includes a niche area of advising pharmaceutical clients on pre-litigation strategy and risk management related to “Orange Book”-listed medical device patents, for example, metered dose inhalers and dry power inhalers.

Sabrina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering in 2007 from National University of Singapore. Prior to joining the firm, Sabrina worked as a product development engineer in Utah and Singapore specializing in orthopedic products. 

In 2015, Sabrina graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law. While attending law school, she served on the Article Review Board of Virginia Journal of Law & Technology. She also worked as a research assistant to Professor Margo A. Bagley, whose teaching and writing focuses on U.S., international and comparative patent law issues.
