Sashank Krothapally

Sashank is an associate in the firm’s San Francisco office. His practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, competitive landscape analysis, and IP due diligence. Sashank represents clients in a variety of technologies, mainly in the medical device and semiconductor industries.

Within the medical device field, Sashank has worked on orthopedic, cardiovascular, and neuromodulation technologies. Sashank has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in these areas, and has participated in multiple IP due diligence evaluations for spinal implant technologies. He also has extensive experience conducting patent landscape analyses and identifying any IP risks for medical device companies seeking to bring new products to market.

Sashank earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. During college, he interned at one of the world’s biggest chemical producing companies.

Sashank received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, he participated in a Patent Advocacy seminar giving mock arguments for patent law cases to Judge Alan Albright.

Sashank worked as a summer associate with the firm in 2022 and joined the firm in 2023.
