Serah Friedman, Ph.D.

Serah Friedman, Ph.D. is an associate in the Los Angeles office.  

Her practice focuses on U.S. and foreign patent portfolio management, IP due diligence, and competitive landscape analysis across a broad range of technology areas, including software, information technology, communications systems, signal processing, optics, and medical devices.

Dr. Friedman received her law degree from UCLA School of law.  While in law school, Dr. Friedman served as a Managing Editor of UCLA Law Review and as a Submissions Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology.

Dr. Friedman earned her doctoral degree in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics from University of California, Irvine.  Her dissertation focused on liquid surface interfaces and wetting transitions.  Dr. Friedman’s research also included the study of non-Newtonian fluid dynamics, fluid flow in nanotubes, and low temperature physics.  

Dr. Friedman joined the firm in 2018.
