Swatabdi R. Kamal is a patent scientist in the San Diego office. She specializes in the patent prosecution across biotechnology, medical devices and pharmaceutical fields.
She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering focused on Imaging and Injury Biomechanics from Wayne State University College of Engineering and School of Medicine. She has years of experience in molecular imaging, molecular biology, and chemistry. Her research focused on design and development of novel radiotracers for PET imaging of brain in different disease conditions such as TBI, PTSD, Glioblastomas, Alzheimer’s, and addiction followed by immunohistochemical analysis in animal models.
Before joining the firm, Dr. Kamal worked as a process development chemist at Grifols Diagnostics Solution. Dr. Kamal also has some experience with Matlab and Python.
